    The Staff Rules of Anarchy
(All the images below are fake/acted)

The staff rules are here to protect players, and to monitor our staff members’ activity. This applies to everywhere, in game, on the forums, or on various communication areas. Players should not feel threatened by our staff, and should have the knowledge of what the staff should and should not do. However, the main target for this thread is not the players, it is our staff. We do not want to incite witch hunting our staff members for every action that our staff take. So hopefully, this thread will be able to clarify some of our rules of our staff. For players this isn’t a must read, but you will be referred here if you ask to report a staff member. But for any of the current Anarchy staff members, this is a must read. You should not be ignorant of what you can and cannot do.

    Abusing of power

We give our staff members a great deal of power, and it should be used responsibly and only in situations where the usage would be justified. If a staff member is caught abusing their powers, it will be a demotion, and if severe enough, a ban. This is one of the rules that shall be taken most seriously, as you are representing all of us in the staff team when you are in the field. Abusing your power in any form could scare other players, or ruin our reputations as helpful members of the community.

Here is Rain punishing players for no other reason except for his own self enjoyment.

Just Rain having some fun by dumping a player into the ocean.

    Real world trading

We do not allow anybody, including staff members apart from Brennen, Kitty, and myself to take real world donations. However Kitty or myself are not permitted to take anything apart from RSGP donations, all the proceeds must go to Brennen and be put into funding for the server. If a staff member is attempting to coax you into donating to them for items in game, tell an owner/co-owner. We are the only ones allowed to deal with those situations, however you can tell other higher ranked staff members to have them relay the message to us Otherwise we wish to keep those reports between Brennen, Kitty, or myself and the player reporting them.

Bad boy Steven, you cannot take donations. Those must go to a co-owner/owner!

    Choosing Environments

This one will need explaining. This rule applies to arguments, tickets, and ETC. These types of things need to be held in private areas, even if the player does not mind. We don’t need players to be listening to staff members fight with others at skilling or otherwise. Many times when tickets are used it is because the player wants to come to a staff member for privacy, no risk of anything they are saying leaking into the surrounding public. For any regular players that are unaware, all of our staff have access to the ;;sz and ;szother command, there is no reason tickets cannot be taken there.

This argument would be considered poorly handled, it was held in an open environment in the duel arena. Bad Steve!

In this example we can see it was handled appropriately and the argument was quickly taken to the staff zone. Good job Steve!

    Abuse of the Answering System

We have put in place an answering system to manage our staff members productivity. However this system can be abused in numerous ways, which will result in a demotion. This will be followed be a small list of what is forbidden from the usage of the ;;answers command.
    • Spamming with the ;;answers command.
    • Giving false or incomplete information with the answers command.
    • Using the answers system twice in order to fill out long answer
    • Conversation or regular speaking is not allowed with the answers command
    [IMG]
Bad boy Rain, you flamed a player using the answers command as well as spammed with it.

False or incomplete information isn't allowed when using the answers command. Bad boy Steve.

    Another example of false information.
    Biased opinions

Staff members are not permitted to be biased against another player or staff member. This can cloud the actual judgement of the staff member handling the situation. This can be very problematic as you may notice in the example below. The reason for this rule is to protect players from unfair treatment or judgement, and to make sure that players breaking rules are receiving punishments to the fullest extent of what they are doing wrong.

Serial XP was clearly flaming another payer, but he gets let off easy due to him and Rain being best friends since highschool. Where as Erin even speaking up once earns her some jail time!
    Impersonating other staff

Staff members impersonating other staff members can be just as problematic, if not more than another player impersonating staff. It could spread propaganda, ruin the reputation of a staff member, or cause/convince players to do things they normally wouldn't.

We can see here, Rain Silves is impersonating the owner(Brennen/Taht) and spreading propaganda that he is selling the server. This is completely false, but he does have the ability to cause damage by doing this.
    Afk staff accounts

Afk staff accounts lead to issues for multiple reasons. The biggest being that you are presenting useless as being active and ready to help, but if you are not there how can you do this? For this reason an account with a visible staff rank: Support, moderator, administrator. Should not be afk for more than 15 to 30 minutes. If you know you are going to be gone for a large amount of time, just log out.

However a staff member who decides to AFK on a separate account, may do so as long as it doesn't have a staff rank.

We can see Erin here, probably AFK fishing, but we don't actually know so this is the example. If we can see tickets not being taken, or poor questions left without an answer to accompany them while Erin is online. This would be an issue!

After further looking however, with usage of our commands. We can tell that Erin is in fact not afk according to the system. Lets try asking her a question?

Looks like we were correct. : ^)

If you are caught AFK on an account over the the presented time limit, it can be let off depending on the situation. However most often there isn't really a situation where you cannot spend a couple of calories to click the log out button.
